Andi - Boxing Day 2008

MBF and a lensbaby ‘attachment’

Not a Christmasy picture I know but it was taken on boxing day :) MBF let me have a go with his lensbaby and this was one of the shots I took whilst using it, I actually quite like it :) I’ll try and edit a couple more photos that we took and post them in the next few days.

Hope you all had a good Christmas? It has been really nice to have MBF with me for the last few days, we had a good Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed just chilling out and watching rubbish on the TV :) Only bad part about it all is that MBF had to go home today and I actually quite miss having someone around to talk to…actually, even just to sit with…it’s nice to be able to share the everyday things with someone other than the cat!

And speaking of the cat…MBF rescued him earlier today from a fight with another cat in the hallway of my flats, however, my cat decided to turn on MBF and gave him a rather nasty bite…it didn’t look too bad at first but soon swelled up and was causing him a lot of pain :( A trip to A&E, tetanus injection and some antibiotics and fingers crossed the swelling and pain will ease soon.

Now MBF is back from the hospital I can get some sleep and start planning for the new year! I have all sorts of plans for 2009 and need to go out on Tuesday to buy lots of stationary and a new memory book :) I’m a bit forgetful every now and then so decided a few months ago that I would keep a memory book so that if I do anything special or anything I want to keep momentos of I can add them to the memory book and I’ll be able to use it as a reminder of all the special things that have happened. Starting a new book for 2009 seemed like a good idea :) I am also going to attempt a photo a day again and need to buy a decent photo album that will hold a copy of each photo I take…I have so many things I want to do to keep organised it’s crazy…

2009 Memory book

Photo a day 2009 album

2009 Symptom diary

2009 Finances file

2009 RoseBuddies file

2009 BT Buddies file

I could go on but I’m sure you don’t need the whole list lol Let’s see how well I do at keeping this things up to date!

Time for some sleep now, if I don’t write again before Thursday I hope you all have a great new years eve and I wish you good health and happiness for 2009 xx

My 80 year old Grandad is in hospital waiting for emergency surgery on a broken hip. He’s the only man in the photo above along with me, a few of my cousins, my Grandma and Great Aunt.

He fell on some ice last Tuesday whilst out shopping with my Grandma. They live 5 miles outside one of the UK’s biggest cities and he had to lay in the street for 3 HOURS before an ambulance arrived….whilst nothing shocks me about our appauling healthservice, it really is disgusting that anyone has to wait that long for an emergency service :(

If you could keep him in your thoughts and prayers over the next few days as he under goes surgery and begins his recovery I’d be extremely grateful.

P.S I love you

“Holly couldn’t live without her husband Gerry, until the day she had to. They were the kind of young couple who could finish each other’s sentences. When Gerry succumbs to a terminal illness and dies, 30-year-old Holly is set adrift, unable to pick up the pieces. But with the help of a series of letters her husband left her before he died and a little nudging from an eccentric assortment of family and friends, she learns to laugh, overcome her fears, and discover a world she never knew existed.”

Thank you so much to L for telling me to watch this film…I haven’t cried so much in ages but I recommend it to anyone who has lost ‘the one’…
